Riding for Time
We had a good strong group of 48 of you riding for time in Saturday’s Western Hill Country Timed Century, which some of you have billed as The Toughest Century this side of the Mississippi (and the most beautiful). It includes 9,000+ feet of climb and the pitch coming back up Jay Peak on Route 242 is just plain ridiculous. Not that Sunday’s ride through the Legendary Lake Region is a piece of cake. 27 of you showed up for Sunday’s Ride for Time, leaving 19 cyclists who competed in the Two Day Double Century Challenge. It was fun, even thrilling, to watch this part of our Tour de Kingdom play out with some great cycling, some great sportsmanship, and some great camaraderie out on the road.
